I started my career as a Show Runner (professional tea maker) and worked my way up to producing Live Events, Conferences, and Award ceremonies for some of the biggest companies in the world. At the same time I worked as a Video Producer, creating internal and external communication videos for global companies and world-wide product launches.
I created an Agency when I was 23 and gave myself the position of Creative Director (easy to do when you’re in charge). Over the next 15 years I earned that title producing events, videos, scripts and graphics, for onstage, on camera and on-line events. I was an early adopter of virtual event technology, creating a virtual event streaming platform in 2006 that was used to produce Microsoft’s first virtual event in 2007.
Microsoft approached me in 2008 and asked me to create a Leadership Communication Course for their Global Products Services team. The aim was to give the leadership team the tools to be better communicators on stage, on camera and online. That course was extremely well received and cascaded globally throughout the company.
My public speaker training is unique. I’m not a ‘Trainer’. I didn’t go to ‘Training’ school. I have no ‘Training’, qualifications. What I do have is over two decades experience working in live events and video production, both very stressful, high intensity environments. I’ve had to devise a key set of tools that I know work for all presenters. Tips and tricks I can deliver quickly; advice that can be acted on immediately, sometimes moments before walking on stage.
I became a qualified Hypnotherapist in 2023. I recognised that many people contacted me to help with their fear of public speaking and I wanted to be able to offer a solution that cured their phobia. During my diploma I realised Hypnotherapy could help many of my clients, with performance related confidence issues, anxiety, low self esteem and many other negative thought processes generated from the pressures of performance, sports and corporate life.
My public speaker training and performance hypnotherapy works because it’s born from real life experiences, of knowing what does, and doesn’t work, combined with hypnotherapy techniques that can change negative thought patterns and improve confidence and self-esteem. I can make anyone a great public speaker and cure anyone of their fear of speaking in public, of competing in sports and of working in a corporate environment. My training is life changing, leads to more opportunities and guarantees professional progression too.
